KINDERGARTEN

Korea District Kindergarten Program

The Korea District kindergarten programs are full day programs based on                                     developmentally appropriate practices that provide positive academic, social, and                                     emotional benefits for young children.  The Korea kindergarten programs give                                     children extended opportunities to participate in project-based activities,                                     interactive learning and active exploration.  The programs emphasize            standards-based instruction in all areas with special emphasis on problem-solving, inquiry,            language development, social skills, and literacy.  The policy of the Department of Defense         Education Activity (DoDEA) is that children must be five years old by October 31 of the year they       are enrolled in kindergarten.
